除了bad news，还可以怎么传达「坏消息」？

生活中，谁都会遇到坏消息。在传达具体的消息之前，我们总要先告诉别人自己身处困境，给大家缓冲的时间。

比起I have a bad news，下面这些说法也很常见。

常见说法：

We are in deep trouble.

我们身陷困境。

We are in a bind.

我们身处困境。

We have gotten ourselves into hot water.

我们已陷入水深火热之中。

I am in dire straits now.

我已陷入绝境。

I have some disappointing news for you.

我有一些让你失望的消息。

We have a predicament/problem.

我们遭遇了困境/问题。

Now we’re in a mess.

现在我们一团糟。

What a nuisance!

真讨厌！

I have a problem…

我有一个问题...

There is something concerning we need to discuss.

有件事我们需要讨论。

We have a dilemma on our hands now.

bad news的特殊用法：此外，我们常用的bad news还有别的用法，即给某人或某物贴上标签。例如，如果你知道一个人总是在工作中陷入麻烦或与上级发生冲突，你可以说： That person is bad news.

那个人是个大麻烦。

That company is bad news. (Like a person the company has a bad reputation.)

那家公司很差劲。（像一个人一样，公司的声誉也很差。）

I’ve heard those cars are bad news. (A type of car that has many problems.)

我听说那些车很糟糕。（一种有很多问题的汽车。）
