It is generally agreed thatnon-renewablefossil fuels—oil, coal and natural gas--come with a cost as theyirreparablydamage the environment and harm human health. We all know that oil is the single largest source of air pollution that mayresult inglobal warming and then cause climate to change. Coal smokeis largely responsible forhuman diseases, especially respiratory diseases like asthma. At the same time, natural gas is possibly the chiefculpritin thecontaminated groundwaterand earthquakes. It is, therefore, necessary for the international community to act immediately to ensure that all countriesphase outfossil fuels.

One solution is to develop more renewable sources of energy such as solar and wind power. More and more countries are turning to theseconstantpower sources to helpoffsettheir reliance on oil, coal and natural gas. These green methods of solar panels and wind turbines can allow users toharnessthe free,inexhaustiblesupply of energy, while creating zero pollution.
