Describe the oldest person you know.

You should say:

how you know this person

what he/she usually does every day

how much time you spend with him/her

and explain how you feel about this person.

描述老人，可以参考的词汇有：他(她)虽然年纪比较大，但是hale and hearty(精神矍铄)，什么时候看到他(她)都让人感觉energetic(精力充沛的)。除此之外，他(她)可能是一个非常amiable(和蔼可亲的)的人，总是wear a smile and greet to everybody he/she meets with(面带微笑，向所见的每个人打招呼)。他(她)也可能年轻的时候went through a lot(经历很多)，所以变得非常optimistic(乐观的)，有一个positive attitude toward life(乐观的人生态度)。

我不开心的时候总喜欢找他(她)聊天，而他(她)总有办法cheer me up(让我快活起来)。当然，一位老人还可能很interesting(有趣的)，喜欢讲笑话，还有很多爱好;或者很independent(独立的)，不愿意和子女住一起，而是自己把自己的生活过得有声有色。

The oldest person I know is Zhang,our next door neighbour.She thinks she is 98,but she isn’t sure.Zhang does all the things she’s always done.She wakes up very early in the morning.When my family wakes up around 6:30,she is already awake.If it is a nice day,she takes a little chair and sits outside,beside her front door,and drinks her morning tea.

Everybody in the neighbourhood knows her and says hello.She’s almost like a minor celebrity!At around 9:00,she walks to her grandson’s shop.He has a small vegetable shop.She works for a few hours every day.Her mind is still very sharp.Her grandson has a calculator and a cash register,but she prefers to add the prices in her head and she never makes a mistake.hen she walks home and likes to watch TV in the evening.

When I was younger,I used to visit her often.After school,I would sometimes go to her house and she would give me little treats,like mooncakes.She knows they are my favourite.Now that I’m at university,I have less time to visit,but I try to visit her once every week or two.It might sound depressing to spend time with such an old woman,but she still has lots of good energy.I always leave in a good mood.Zhang is a very special person in my life–like a grandmother,or more like a great-grandmother.
